SBE Invests in BOBST MASTER M5 to Strengthen Label and Packaging Production

SBE, a subsidiary of the PRINTEOS Group, expanded its production capabilities with the purchase of a BOBST MASTER M5 flexographic printing press, a move aligned with the company’s ongoing modernization strategy. The press introduces a high level of automation and operational versatility, allowing SBE to respond to increasing demand for fast, efficient manufacturing of advanced labels and packaging. Equipped with automated pressure, registration, and tension control, the MASTER M5 minimizes operator involvement while delivering consistent quality and short setup cycles.

The platform supports a wide range of substrates, from films to lightweight board, and incorporates inline finishing units for streamlined production. Compatibility with oneECG technology enables efficient color management and repeatability, while its digital workflow reduces waste and downtime. SBE selected BOBST for its strong innovation track record, its global footprint and the availability of technical support based in France, which the company said was crucial for responsiveness and long-term reliability.

“BOBST’s proven expertise in complex industrial processes was a decisive factor in our decision,” said Olivier Lottin, Managing Director of SBE. He highlighted the company’s commercial support and transparent approach as contributing to a strong foundation for collaboration. PRINTEOS Group Label Division Director Carlos Coll noted that BOBST’s international organisation ensures consistent technical standards across the group’s 21 European factories, supporting both current needs and future technology requirements.

According to Stéphane Vrignon, BOBST Zone Business Director, the automation built into the MASTER M5 enables SBE to deliver high-quality labels and packaging with strong process control and efficiency. The partnership is expected to enhance SBE’s competitiveness and industrial performance as the company continues to expand its capabilities within the PRINTEOS network.
