Scodix announced the launch of a new Trading Cards Workshop, set to take place on Tuesday, 10 February at the Scodix Experience Center. The event is positioned as a hands-on, production-driven session aimed at trading card printers and creators looking to elevate card value through advanced digital embellishment.

Unlike traditional presentations or demonstrations, the workshop is designed as an interactive working session. Participants will engage directly with Scodix technology to explore how tactile effects, foil, textures, and variable enhancements can transform standard trading cards into premium, high-value collectables. The focus is on differentiation, durability, and monetisation in a market where embellishment increasingly drives both brand value and secondary-market demand.

The workshop will address three key areas. In competitive play applications, Scodix will demonstrate how durable tactile effects and variable numbering can be implemented to enhance security and comply with strict regulatory requirements for tournament use. For collectable editions, attendees will explore how extreme textures and holographic finishes can be used to create limited “chase” cards that increase rarity and perceived value.

A central component of the session will be live production. Participants will prepare professional files and observe a live press run, seeing complex digital enhancements executed in real time. Scodix said this approach is intended to give attendees practical insight into setup considerations, production workflows, and achievable design effects under real manufacturing conditions.

The Trading Cards Workshop will take place at the Scodix Experience Center in Düsseldorf on February 10. Attendance is limited, and Scodix is encouraging early registration from printers, converters, and creators seeking to expand into premium trading card and collectable production.
