SCREEN Positions Inkjet as the Future of Packaging at interpack 2026

SCREEN Europe will highlight the growing role of digital inkjet printing in packaging production at interpack 2026 in Düsseldorf, as converters and brand owners accelerate their shift toward more flexible, data-driven manufacturing. With the digital packaging market expected to reach $36.9 billion by 2030, significantly outpacing overall packaging print growth, the company is positioning inkjet as a core technology for the industry’s next phase.

At the center of SCREEN’s showcase will be live demonstrations of the Truepress PAC 520P, a digital inkjet press designed for paper-based flexible packaging. Using water-based inks compliant with food safety regulations, the system enables converters to enter sustainable packaging applications while maintaining production efficiency and profitability. The company will also highlight developments in plastic flexible packaging through the Truepress PAC 830F and in label production with the widely adopted Truepress LABEL 350UV SAI, which supports automated, high-throughput “lights-out” operations.

In addition to hardware, SCREEN will emphasize the importance of workflow integration and color management, working with partners such as CGS ORIS to demonstrate solutions that optimize color consistency and reduce ink consumption. Together, these technologies reflect a broader shift toward connected, automated production environments where digital inkjet enables shorter runs, faster turnaround, and greater responsiveness to market demands in packaging and labeling.
