As part of the ongoing Love Paper initiative, the campaign counters widespread misconceptions—such as the belief held by 35% of European consumers that paper is harmful to the environment, despite it being 75% recycled, the highest rate of any material in Europe.
The initiative calls on printers, paper merchants, packaging manufacturers, and others in the value chain to use provided materials and messaging to educate clients and consumers. Highlighting paper’s recyclability, renewability, and role in creativity, Love Paper Week reinforces the medium’s relevance in a digital world and its importance in sustainability discussions. Industry participants are encouraged to amplify the message and champion paper as a responsible communication and packaging choice.
