Sentinel, a global leader in automated ink management solutions, has expanded its technology portfolio with the launch of Ranger, an advanced ink delivery system making its debut at PRINTING United Expo in Orlando, Florida. Ranger extends the automation capabilities of Sentinel’s Pinnacle Award-winning iPro system, taking on the critical task of ink replenishment in high-volume pressrooms. By drawing directly from bulk 50-gallon drums, Ranger ensures a continuous, stable ink supply, enabling longer uninterrupted runs and reliable print quality across every job.
Designed for compatibility with a wide range of formulations, including EB, UV, and conventional offset inks, Ranger offers printers a powerful way to improve efficiency and consistency. According to Sentinel, the new system reduces ink waste, lowers ink costs by up to 25 percent, and minimizes both make-ready and cleanup time. Seamlessly integrating with industry-standard pumps and adaptable to both new and legacy presses, it represents an impactful upgrade for packaging and commercial printers managing high-capacity production environments.
“Ink delivery has traditionally been one of the last manual processes in an otherwise automated pressroom,” said Kevin McAnally, Director of Engineering at Sentinel. “With Ranger, we’ve closed that gap to fully automate ink replenishment.” Demonstrations of Ranger and the iPro ink management system will take place at Booth #4608 during PRINTING United Expo. Sentinel, a Pamarco Company, continues to lead in sustainable, advanced ink management technologies across North America and Europe.
