SwissQprint launches 5th Generation

I had some difficulties understanding the press release we received from SwissQprint about its launch of the 5th generation. Initially, it refers to a completely redesigned platform, but later, in the same press release, it refers to being based on the successful Kudo printer SwissQprint offers.

However, I did learn that SwissQprint's fifth generation offers an upgraded platform that offers customers faster speed, higher quality (1350 DPI print heads), ten individually configurable color channels, and a more robust platform with new hardware and software.

SwissQprint has created a nice landing page that shows the new platform and the family of printers. As Kudo is already a reference, I would conclude that the two new upgrades are Nyala 5 and Impala 5. The two machines are almost identical except for the width of both boards and roll-based substrate and the speed per meter, which ranges from 227 m2/hour to 253 m2/hour.

I have included the presentation video in the post + links to the presentation pages so you can read for yourself - and maybe let me know what I don’t understand :-)
