TARAtps, one of South Korea’s largest and most diversified printing companies, made a major step in its global expansion strategy with the full acquisition of Chicago Offset, an Illinois-based commercial printing firm known for its sheetfed presses and saddle-stitching capabilities. Chicago Offset will continue operating under its longstanding brand while becoming a wholly owned subsidiary within TARAtps’ international production network.

In conjunction with the acquisition, TARAtps has established TARA USA, its first overseas entity, which will serve as the group’s operational and customer engagement hub for the United States and surrounding regions. By combining TARAtps’ mass-production capabilities in Paju with the local agility of Chicago Offset, the company is introducing a dual-production model designed to significantly shorten lead times, improve cost efficiency, and strengthen support for both large-volume and short-run projects.

The integrated system positions TARA USA to meet the diverse needs of the region’s printing market, from national publishing programmes to fast-turnaround regional orders. It also enhances TARAtps’ competitiveness in categories such as commercial print, packaging, and the rapidly expanding K-pop merchandise and album production sector. With more than three decades of growth and expertise, TARAtps is extending its capabilities to North American customers through a structure designed for speed, flexibility, and global-standard execution.
