Cornwall-based Westcolor announced a significant expansion of its print and fulfilment capabilities with the installation of an HP PageWide Advantage 2200, positioning the business to offer more agile, creative, and personalised print solutions. The investment aligns with a broader strategy to enhance customer value as print regains momentum as a high-impact communication channel. Partnering with HP enables the company to combine consistent quality with high-speed digital production, expanding its range of applications to be fully in-house.

The PageWide Advantage 2200 supports personalised packaging across a wide variety of substrates and offers UV and aqueous inline finishing options, including gloss, matt, satin, and grit. It also integrates seamlessly with the company’s existing mailing, pick-and-pack and fulfilment services, allowing for streamlined production of door-drop materials, postcards, leaflets, stationery, promotional items, and subscription packaging. To support the new press, the company has also commissioned a roll-to-stack finishing system, increasing efficiency and opening additional production opportunities.

Alongside the technology investment, the business has expanded into a new 15,000-square-foot facility on Granville Way in Bicester. The site features 600 pallet racking spaces, enhanced storage capacity, and upgraded fulfilment workflows designed for greater speed and operational efficiency. The combination of new equipment and expanded infrastructure is intended to strengthen customer service levels and future-proof the company’s production model.

The company said it plans to work closely with HP to optimise performance and leverage ongoing innovations. The investment marks a strategic step forward in digital print capability and fulfilment services, reinforcing its commitment to delivering personalised, sustainable and premium output.
