Zeller+Gmelin North America’s 76z50 Series dry offset ink line has received BPI Compostable certification, meeting ASTM standards for composting and indirect food contact safety. The UV-curable, low migration ink system is designed for rigid plastic food packaging, offering strong adhesion, vibrant pigmentation, and resistance to scuffing and water. Customers using the 76z50 series can now leverage the BPI mark to promote compostable packaging solutions and apply for their own BPI license. Tim Smith, Rigid Plastics Business Manager, highlights the certification as a step toward supporting a circular economy and more sustainable packaging practices.
