Postmaster General Louis DeJoy Exits USPS

DeJoy was first asked to lead the Postal Service in the spring of 2020. A controversial figure, DeJoy's tenure saw the development of a 10-year plan intended to put USPS on a path to financial sustainability. His Delivering for America plan was intended to establish a viable operating model, grow revenue, and modernize facilities.

Prior to his appointment as Postmaster General, DeJoy was the founder and CEO of a logistics and freight company, a privately owned competitor to the USPS. He was the first Postmaster General appointed since 1992 with no previous experience in the USPS.
