Full disclaimer: I have never been to an Inkjet Summit, but it’s one of the events with an excellent reputation. As the name indicates, the event is about Inkjet, an invite-only event organized by our good friends from NAPCO.
The event is different from other industry events as it’s an event where the invites must be in some investment mode - I don’t know the details to qualify, and not important for this article. But that means that the value for the sponsors/exhibitors is high, and we know it’s an event that is seen as very valuable for the exhibitors. The event is also highly appreciated by the attendees, and for both, I will say, of course. Investors can discuss details with numerous vendors in one place, and vendors can reach many potential customers in one place. Spiced with presentations, speakers, the event sounds great.
However, what inspired me to write this article is that I noticed something new at this year's summit, namely, Ashley Roberts. She is the new Content Director (I continue to assume that’s another word for editor-in-chief) for Printing Impressions and, under the hashtag #IJS2025 on LinkedIn, has made numerous vox pops asking various people about their takeaways from the Inkjet Summit.
If it’s the first time, I think it’s great because it adds a very up-to-date interest in the event, and I want to know more :-)
Among the people she interviewed were:
Bassim Alamiry of Mimeo
Rick Baker of Print Tech of Western PA
Greg Estep of the U.S. Government Publishing Office
Tom Ling of AdvantageColorgraphics
Jim Priebe of Lithotone
Eric Benes of Still Creek Press
Eric Kahn of Graphic Village
Doug Maxwell of Brigham Young University
John Sommers of Allied Printing Services
Michelle Brown of Xpressdocs
Nichole Wood of Japs-Olson Company
MaLiesa Anderson and Natasha Munshi of Discover
And probably more
