HP Launches Indigo 6K+ Digital Press to Set New Standard in Label Production Efficiency

HP announces the new HP Indigo 6K+ Digital Press, an upgrade to its industry-leading label printing platform, designed to meet growing demand for high-mix, short-run digital label production. The new press features HP’s SmartControl System and AI-powered automation tools, delivering up to a 15% increase in uptime and improved productivity. Engineered to help converters boost reliability, reduce waste, and streamline operations, the Indigo 6K+ is built on the proven Indigo 6K platform, which has been installed globally more than 2,300 times to date.

Debuting globally at the end of July 2025, the HP Indigo 6K+ brings advancements in diagnostics, color automation, and job switching. Equipped with seven ink stations, specialty inks, and support for a wide range of substrates, including pressure-sensitive labels, shrink sleeves, and folding cartons, the press covers up to 97% of the Pantone color gamut. It is tailored for converters wanting to diversify their offerings while maintaining consistent, high-quality output, even with complex jobs and demanding turnaround times.

Designed with sustainability in mind, the 6K+ reduces CO₂ emissions per job by up to 20 percent and minimizes energy and material waste. It will be showcased alongside HP’s full digital portfolio at Labelexpo Europe 2025 in Barcelona, where live demonstrations will highlight how the press supports smarter, more profitable, and more sustainable production. HP Indigo continues to lead with innovation, helping converters future-proof their businesses in a rapidly evolving landscape of labels and packaging.
