Make the right decision. How does it work?

THURSDAYSTHOUGHTS BY ANDREAS WEBER, HEAD OF CONFIDENCE RELATED TO THOUGHT LEADERSHIP

MY POV: "The formula for success for both good and bad times: creating complete clarity with true confidence, so that you can make the right decisions and communicate adequately through maximum creativity."

In times of crisis, the same principle always applies: Cut everything that can be cut quickly with the “McKinsey sword”. Marketing and advertising expenses, employees, locations / production sites, unprofitable in the portfolio and more. But is that enough?

For many who suddenly find themselves in the immediate existential crisis due to unforeseen circumstances, some things were not right before. You practically cheated yourself, avoided "bad things" because of serious concerns, and didn't want to face reality. And certainly not show weakness. Or admit mistakes.

Making decisions correctly is essential for survival. In personal as well as in business, not to mention politics and society. In principle, intuition, empathy and good conversations form the best basis. And following the knowledge that we as humans create for other humans.

My recommendation

Instead of just listening to the McKinseys of the world, you should follow the wise advice of brain scientists and psychologists.

The leading German ’thinker’ Dr. Gerald Hüther, neurologist and director of the Academy for Potential Development, makes easy-to-use recommendations for discovering and realizing future prospects through innovation

Among other things two of his important pieces of advice are relevant:

1. The A + O: The training of our own attention ability

2. We have to like things and ourselves as they are. Unconditionally.

The German psychologist Silke Brand recommends as a program to focus on being human. Her topic: "Help for the soul". Her core message: “We are all in an exceptional situation. Central basic needs such as security, contact, autonomy and fun can no longer be lived as before." — But what to do?

Her most important advice: create clarity by tracking down, sifting, evaluating, discussing facts and relevant information. Only then would it be possible to develop full creativity, which is essential to make the right decisions that will bring success in the short, medium and long term. She relies on synchronicity, finding allies, meditation. And: good wishes!

Sounds easy. Works enormously effective. So go ahead. #Mindchange #BeMoreHuman
