Heidelberger Druckmaschinen announced July 22nd, 2020, the sales of Gallus to the unknown Swiss company Benpac Holding. This you most likely already know since INKISH has written numerous articles about benpac. Most of the stories focused on the benpac side of the acquisition with speculations about the company's ability to pay the staggering 120 million euros, which we eventually witnessed weren't possible. But why did benpac enter into a deal the company eventually couldn't pay? And even more important, how could Heidelberger Druckmaschinen end up entering into an agreement with no guarantees?
