One of the most recognized annual events is the EFI Connect user conference in Las Vegas on January 17th-21st. INKISH has never been there, but we have been invited this time, and we have great expectations for the event.
EFI Connect is an overwhelming number of sessions where you can learn about EFI's products/services, iterations, evolutions, and revolutions within the company's portfolio of products. EFI is probably the biggest software supplier globally, with software in almost all categories.
At EFI Connect, you'll find more than 130+ sessions, some starting as early as 8:15 AM, and the latest ends at 4:45 PM - so plenty of time opportunities to learn. Registration and the full program can be found here.
Shortly we will bring some interviews with people who previously have attended EFI Connect, and some of the statements for why to go are great. Jim Rosenthal from PCD, Pennsylvania, has a couple of great takeaways.
The first takeaway is that the wealth of knowledge you get at EFI Connect is like a 'deep-dive analysis of your company and what solutions can help you. He also says that having a consultant giving you the same information would be considerably more expensive compared to how much it would cost.
Jim Rosenthal is also going to EFI Connect for social interactions and explains that he has got friends at EFI Connect over the years that he considers family friends. Therefore, EFI Connect also has the networking perspective that is an essential part of the event as well!
In another interview I did with Nathaniel Grant from Graphics and Marketing, Virginia, he agrees with almost everything Jim Rosenthal says and adds that he learned things that he didn't know on software he already acquired, which in his opinion justifies the investment going to EFI Connect!
Besides the learning sessions, there are a lot of social activities. As far as I remember from talking to Holly Hokrein-O'Rourke and Carrie Klepzig from EFI, the social activities range from visiting a racetrack to a shooting range and, of course, banquets and more. Being in Las Vegas probably intrigues some to take advantage of one of the world's largest entertainment cities.
INKISH will be covering EFI Connect intensively. We plan to be Ziga Kovac and Jan Majnik as filmers + Robert Godwin and myself as reporters. We plan to make a lot of films from the "floor," talking to attendees, specialists, executives and giving you a sense of the event. It also seems that we will get a Conversations with Jeff Jacobsen, which for me personally, would be a highlight of the entire trip since I want to get to know him - as much as you can in a 20-30 minutes "format."
