The Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI) has named Ashish Mittal as its new chief executive officer, effective April 1, ushering in a new phase of leadership as Timothy M. Andrews retires after more than two decades at the helm. The transition also formalizes the next generation of family leadership, with Matthew Cohn and Stephanie Cohn Schaeffer serving as co-chairs while Norman Cohn steps into a chairman emeritus role.
Mittal joins ASI with extensive experience in scaling technology-driven businesses and marketplace networks, most recently serving as president and COO of Sticky.io. His background includes leadership roles at Gopuff and ShopRunner, where he helped build and expand digital commerce ecosystems. ASI leadership emphasized his ability to combine operational discipline with entrepreneurial thinking, positioning him to advance the company’s technology platforms while maintaining its strong member-focused culture.
As ASI remains the central technology and information hub for the $27.7 billion promotional products industry, Mittal will focus on deepening member relationships through data, insights, and digital tools. His appointment underscores the growing importance of technology and platform-driven innovation in industries where physical products, brand engagement, and community connections remain central to long-term growth.
