callas software announced a new partnership with Databrand, a Brazilian reseller and workflow integrator, to expand its reach in Latin America. The agreement reflects callas software’s strategic focus on the region as a growth market, with Brazil serving as a key entry point for broader expansion. Databrand brings more than 20 years of experience in developing graphic arts workflow solutions, positioning the partnership to address increasing demand for automation and efficiency in print production environments.
At the center of the collaboration is callas software’s pdfToolbox platform, which serves as a flexible and customizable engine for automated PDF processing. The technology supports a wide range of applications, from basic preflight checks to complex workflows that include proof sheet creation, barcode verification, and advanced print preparation. By combining this capability with Databrand’s expertise in color management, standardization, and workflow integration, the companies aim to deliver more predictable and scalable production environments for customers across the region.
The partnership also highlights callas software’s broader strategy of working through specialized local partners rather than selling directly to end users. “Products with that level of versatility naturally come with a learning curve, and require a strong partner to get the most out of them,” said David van Driessche, Chief Evangelist at callas software. For print providers in Latin America, the collaboration is expected to improve access to advanced PDF automation tools while providing the local expertise needed to implement them effectively.
