Canon announced the appointment of Dr. Markus Naegeli as Managing Director of Canon Germany. Naegeli, who will continue in his role as CEO of Canon Switzerland, succeeds Rainer Führes, who is leaving the company after a distinguished 26-year career, including 11 years as Managing Director of Canon Germany.
Under Führes’ leadership, Canon Germany implemented key integration and transformation projects that helped shape the company’s strong market position today. “Canon thanks Rainer Führes for his many years of commitment and successful work as Managing Director,” the company stated. “We wish him all the best for the future and much success in his new projects.”
Naegeli joined Canon Switzerland in 2002 and has since held multiple international management roles, including Service Director at Canon Europe in London, CEO of Canon Switzerland, and Executive Vice President at Canon EMEA, where he oversaw the B2B office business and transformation initiatives. Since late 2018, he has once again led Canon Switzerland. “I am delighted to now assume responsibility for Canon Germany in addition to my role in Switzerland,” Naegeli said. “Germany is a key market for Canon in Europe. Together with our teams and partners, we want to further strengthen our proximity to our customers and consistently drive digital transformation.”
