Canon U.S.A., Inc. and DigiTech unveiled the Texas LT3 Series UV LED true flatbed printers, a new platform engineered for speed, automation, and consistent image quality in high-volume production settings. Announced from Melville, New York, the LT3 Series extends the partners’ collaboration that began in 2022 and targets print service providers facing tighter turnaround times and labor constraints.
The Texas LT3 Series includes the LT3/X2 and LT3/X3 models, delivering print speeds up to 7,489 square feet per hour with LED UV curing. Expanded color configurations (orange, gray, white, and varnish) support broader gamut output and special effects, while Kyocera grayscale printheads are designed to maintain smooth tonal transitions at production speeds. The printers handle substrates up to 6 inches thick, including corrugate, plastics, wood, and metal.
Automation is central to the LT3 design. Each system ships with a standard auto-unloader and is built to integrate with feeders, conveyors, digital cutters, and stackers. This end-to-end automation reduces manual handling and enables a single operator to oversee workflows that previously required multiple staff, improving consistency and profitability in volume-driven environments.
Positioned alongside Canon’s Arizona flatbed portfolio, the Texas LT3 Series provides a throughput-focused growth path. While Arizona systems remain a benchmark for versatility and image quality in low- to mid-volume work, the LT3 is purpose-built for medium- to high-volume production where automation readiness and speed are decisive.
“The launch of the Texas LT3 series marks an exciting milestone in our commitment to helping customers achieve greater productivity and automation,” said Kiyoshi Oka, executive vice president and general manager of the Marketing Strategy Unit at Canon U.S.A. He noted that combining DigiTech’s flatbed platform with Canon’s imaging expertise delivers a scalable solution that meets demanding schedules without sacrificing quality.
With the Texas LT3 Series, Canon U.S.A. and DigiTech aim to give print providers a production-ready flatbed platform that aligns with modern factory workflows, supporting faster job completion, consistent results, and efficient scaling in a competitive market.
