CERM and IBIS Bindery Systems Launch New Integration

CERM expanded its ecosystem of automated workflow partners with a new integration linking IBIS Bindery Systems’ digital finishing equipment directly to the CERM MIS. IBIS, a global specialist in bindery finishing solutions for digitally printed products, now communicates production data to CERM in real time, strengthening end-to-end visibility for label and packaging manufacturers.

The connection uses Job Messaging Format to automatically record machine activity, including running status, breakdowns and job completion, and transfers that information into CERM’s Shop Floor Data Collection module. IBIS systems also share live material-usage data and identify which CERM job is currently in production.

By capturing accurate, real-time performance data from finishing equipment, converters can better understand actual production costs, eliminate manual tracking and make informed decisions to optimize throughput. The integration reflects CERM’s commitment to delivering connected, automated workflows built on strong partnerships with leading equipment manufacturers.

CERM notes that integrated systems remain central to workflow automation and business efficiency across the print industry. With each new connection, the MIS becomes a more powerful hub that enables transparent, scalable and data-driven production environments.
