DIA Identifies Opportunities with May 21

The Digital Imaging Association (DIA) meeting will take place online and in person Wednesday, May 21, 2025, and will explore digital embellishment technology. The association notes that this is not just another industry trend. It’s a creative shift that’s re-shaping the future – a lucrative wake-up call for printers, designers, marketers and brands to move beyond traditional, low-margin work and evolve into something bold, beautiful, and highly profitable. Studies show that print buyers are willing to pay much more for embellishments – specialty coatings (UV, aqueous, metallic, pearlescent, 2D, 3D), foil stamping, die cutting, embossing and debossing, laminating, decorative binding, specialty and metallic inks, and so on.

At the meeting,  you’ll learn how embellishments are currently being used and what’s destined to change. Join Keynote Speaker Kevin Abergel, Founder and President of Taktiful, as he explores digital embellishment technology. Where do the opportunities lie and what’s standing in the way of adoption? Above all, how do you choose the right type of digital embellishments to grow your business?

You’ll discover what digital embellishments actually are (and what they’re not), who’s currently using them and how, where the market is headed, how to stay ahead of your competition and the technology curve, and how embellishments can create enormous value for both printers and customers. Kevin will also provide a sneak peek at the 2025 Taktiful/WhatTheyThink Digital Embellishment Study, officially launching this June at the Amplify Print tradeshow in Rosemont, Illinois.
