Digital Ink and Durst Partner to Expand Smart Factory and Web-to-Print Capabilities Across MENA

Digital Ink announced a strategic partnership with Durst Software and Solutions to introduce advanced web-to-print and Smart Factory capabilities across the Middle East and North Africa region. Based in Ras Al Khaimah, Digital Ink will work with Durst to help print service providers implement e-commerce-driven workflows and automation tools designed to support print-on-demand production models. The partnership reflects growing demand for digital transformation across a region characterized by diverse print applications, including wide-format, labels, packaging, and commercial printing.

At the center of the collaboration is the Durst Smart Factory ecosystem, a modular software platform that integrates web-to-print, prepress automation, production management, and ERP/MIS functionality. Designed to work with any printer and across multiple brands, the platform enables end-to-end workflow automation from order intake through production and delivery. The companies are positioning the solution as a way for printers to deliver “Amazon-like” purchasing experiences, reducing manual touchpoints while improving speed, personalization, and operational efficiency.

The partnership also highlights the broader shift toward Print 4.0 models, where software, data, and automation play a central role in production strategy. Digital Ink brings regional expertise in market development and digital transformation, while Durst contributes its global experience in hardware and software integration. Together, the companies aim to support print providers in adapting to changing customer expectations and scaling their operations with connected, cloud-based solutions, with Durst also signaling further developments in its software platform in the near future.
