ECO3 has reaffirmed its commitment to environmental stewardship in the graphic communications industry through its GreenWorks accreditation program. The initiative recognizes printers across the United States and Canada that adopt ECO3’s sustainable technologies and practices, including chemistry-free plates, ink-saving solutions, and waste-reducing workflows. By spotlighting accredited companies, ECO3 promotes environmental leadership while helping customers align business growth with reduced ecological impact.
The program has already accredited dozens of companies, including Goetz Printing, Accurate Box, Transcontinental Ross-Ellis, Hopkins Printing, and Arkay Packaging. Accredited members benefit from visibility on the ECO3 website, marketing toolkits, certification logos, and inclusion in public relations campaigns, giving them a competitive edge with buyers increasingly prioritizing sustainability in procurement. ECO3 also provides accredited members with resources for search engine optimization, press release templates, and digital ad materials to showcase their environmental commitment.
To qualify for GreenWorks, companies must demonstrate specific environmental actions, from using ECO3’s process-free plates and InkTune or PressTune software to recycling programs and FSC/SFI participation. “All things being equal, the environment can tip the scales in your favor,” ECO3 emphasizes, underscoring how sustainability is now a driver of both operational efficiency and customer preference. GreenWorks accreditation provides printers with an opportunity to demonstrate measurable progress in reducing waste, emissions, and resource consumption, thereby contributing to a more sustainable future for the industry.
