EMT International has launched a next-generation creasing module that brings advanced precision and automation to digital print finishing, particularly for mailers and printers working with heavy or coated stocks. Available as a modular upgrade, the new Cross and Linear Creasing module delivers consistent, high-quality creases that prevent cracking and maintain print quality across various folded applications, including direct mail, greeting cards, and postcards. Supporting both cross-web and in-line creasing, the solution is designed to enhance productivity without compromising visual integrity.
Mike Herold, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at EMT International, emphasized the importance of this innovation. "Many of our customers work with demanding substrates and finishes where scoring alone does not deliver the quality they need," said Herold. "Our creasing solution adds the precision and automation they’ve been looking for to reduce waste, maintain print integrity, and protect profitability." With features like dual-direction creasing and adjustable crease depth, the module enables operators to dial in exact settings for any job.
Fully compatible with EMT’s Chameleon line and other third-party systems, the creasing module also includes barcode and job recipe integration for automated setup and seamless changeovers. This allows print providers to handle a broader range of applications while minimizing downtime. Designed for easy integration, the module helps streamline finishing workflows and meet the growing quality demands of high-value print production.
