European Rotogravure Association Rebrands as Global Rotogravure Association, Signaling New Era for the Industry

The European Rotogravure Association (ERA), a cornerstone of the gravure printing sector since 1956, has officially rebranded as the Global Rotogravure Association (GRA), effective in 2025. This strategic transformation reflects the association’s expanded international scope and its response to the dynamic growth of gravure markets beyond Europe, particularly in Asia, Africa, and the Americas. GRA will continue to unite key stakeholders—gravure printers, engravers, cylinder makers, and suppliers—while aligning with the evolving needs of a global industry.

“This change is more than symbolic,” said Davide Garavaglia, President of GRA. “It represents our renewed commitment to support and promote gravure printing technology on a global scale.” With a refreshed visual identity and modernized governance structure, GRA’s revised Bye-Laws now enable more inclusive, digitally connected operations. These updates enhance the association’s ability to foster innovation, improve decision-making, and strengthen its presence in sectors such as packaging, publishing, and decorative printing.

To mark this new chapter, the GRA invites members and gravure professionals worldwide to its upcoming Annual Conference and General Assembly, International Gravure Days 2025, October 20-22, 2025 in Istanbul, where the future of gravure will be discussed in the context of sustainability, digital integration, and global cooperation. For ongoing updates and in-depth industry insights, GRA encourages visitors to explore Rotogravure.org, now serving as the digital home of the Global Rotogravure Association.
