Friday thoughts

By Andreas Weber, Head of Value

Confidence is not a passive view like optimism, but a vital attitude towards life.

Confidence does not fall from the sky, but must be developed, requires personal action.

Seen in this way, optimism is based on hypotheses. And confidence proves to be real, real and pragmatic.

Confidence is contagious. And goes perfectly in a team with others. It is important to search for allies – also virtually, especially about books / stories from others that inspire us and help us change our perspective.

Confidence thrives on and through conversations. And building and maintaining true relationships. 'Relatedness' gives magical powers and makes us permanently happy as human beings.

Trying is good. Fighting windmills leads to nothing.

Headlines in the media follow the rules of the attention economy and do not reflect reality.

It is important to achieve and keep confidence: Get moving. And stay tuned.

PS: My Friday thoughts came about because a business friend wanted to teach me that the printing industry needed optism in advance of #drupa2020. Instead of criticism or bad calls of doom.
