Gallus and HEIDELBERG Unveil New Digital and Hybrid Label Solutions at Labelexpo 2025

Gallus, a Heidelberg subsidiary, has unveiled two new presses at Labelexpo Europe 2025 that signal a bold leap forward in label production technology. The Gallus Five, a high-performance hybrid press, merges modular flexibility with industrial-grade throughput, boasting 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution and up to 100m/min speeds. Built on the Gallus Labelmaster platform, the press features the new HEIDELBERG Saphira UV05 ink set, delivering reduced ink consumption and up to 95% Pantone® coverage—making it a compelling solution for converters in health, beauty, and other high-volume sectors. Complementing this, the Gallus Alpha targets entry-level digital production with a 65m/min roll-to-roll engine that simplifies short runs and fast turnarounds, opening the door for digital adoption in logistics, retail, and pharma.

Beyond hardware, Gallus is launching the Gallus Print Academy, providing on-site training to ease the transition to hybrid and digital workflows. CEO Dario Urbinati emphasized, “This isn’t just another evolution in technical capability—it’s a holistic, practical approach focused on removing barriers… and creating tangible, game-changing opportunities for converters worldwide.”
