GPA, the leading North American distributor of specialty substrates for digital technologies and a member of the Fedrigoni Group, has entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with HP to distribute the next generation of HP ColorPRO papers. Developed explicitly for HP PageWide Web Presses, these papers represent years of innovation and patented technology designed to deliver offset-like quality, full press speed productivity, and supply chain efficiency for high-volume inkjet applications.

Under this agreement, GPA becomes the sole licensee for HP ColorPRO in the U.S. and Canada, with rights to develop, commercialize, and distribute the portfolio across commercial print, direct mail, and book manufacturing segments. “This is more than a paper launch; it’s a performance breakthrough,” said Barry Nelson, GPA President. “HP ColorPRO papers are the first substrates engineered to allow HP PageWide Web Presses to run at full rated speed without compromise. Production of the HP ColorPRO line will be supported by mills within the Fedrigoni Group as well as carefully selected partners meeting HP’s quality standards. GPA will oversee logistics through a direct mill-to-printer program to guarantee consistency, scalability, and reliable supply. The initial portfolio includes Aurora Gloss, Mojave Matte, and multiple uncoated grades set to launch through 2026. By combining GPA’s deep expertise in digital print substrates with Fedrigoni’s manufacturing strength and HP’s technology leadership, the collaboration creates a powerful platform for advancing productivity and profitability in the fast-growing production inkjet market.
