Green Hippo, a full-service print provider based in Tunbridge Wells, has made history as the first UK company to install the Morgana Systems DigiFold Ultra creaser/folder. Installed ahead of the Christmas season, the new finishing system has already generated a surge in new orders, enabling the company to handle high volumes of digital and offset work more efficiently while reducing reliance on outsourcing.

Joint Director Adam Jones described the DigiFold Ultra as the “Swiss army knife” of finishing. “It is so versatile and runs day in, day out,” he said. “Our operators love it because it ticks all the boxes. It’s already bringing in new orders for Christmas cards and menus for restaurants and other venues. Before installation, around 30% of our finishing work was outsourced. Now, with the resources in-house, we can respond faster to client needs and maintain far greater control.”

Building on the proven performance of the DigiFold Pro XL, the DigiFold Ultra can perform full-bleed trimming and process up to 6,000 A4 sheets per hour. Capable of slitting, cutting, creasing, perforating, and folding in a single pass, it is designed to meet the needs of mid- to high-volume production environments across both digital and offset workflows.

Green Hippo has steadily expanded its digital capabilities, recently adding a Canon imagePRESS V1350 to complement its suite of Morgana finishing equipment. The company offers a wide range of print services, from general commercial work to exhibition stands and vehicle graphics. Its finishing portfolio includes lamination, embossing, and spot UV, serving both private- and public-sector clients, including the NHS.
