HP and ePac, a global leader in digitally printed flexible packaging, signed a $50 million strategic commercial agreement to deepen their decade-long partnership and accelerate the digital transformation of flexible packaging. The three-year deal includes approximately $20 million in new HP Indigo 200K press installations and an estimated $30 million in consumables and services. Once deployment is complete, nearly one-third of ePac’s global press fleet will be based on the HP Indigo 200K platform, with new installations across North America and Europe.
The HP Indigo 200K, built on HP’s fifth-generation platform, delivers roughly a 30% increase in print speed and up to 45% higher overall throughput compared to previous models. Equipped with AI-enabled print-quality diagnostics and real-time defect detection and correction, the system supports continuous, high-efficiency production while reducing waste. The digital, on-demand model helps brands of all sizes minimize excess inventory, shorten lead times from weeks to days, and lower their carbon footprint, key advantages in a market increasingly driven by agility and sustainability.
“This $50 million investment marks a pivotal moment in ePac’s evolution,” said Parag Patel, President of Shared Services at ePac. “By integrating more than 10 HP Indigo 200K digital presses into our global network, we are not just expanding capacity; we are redefining the standard for high-speed, sustainable packaging.” HP executives emphasized that the agreement underscores confidence in HP Indigo’s technology and reinforces its vision of Nonstop Digital Printing, enabling 24/7 production with consistent quality, automated workflows, and scalable performance for the future of flexible packaging.
