Hybrid Software Expands Capabilities with Acquisition of Conics

Hybrid Software announced at Labelexpo Europe 2025 the acquisition of Conics, a software development and consultancy firm based in Ypres, Belgium. Conics is known for helping customers select and implement graphical software solutions while bridging gaps with tailored development and integration services. The acquisition underscores Hybrid’s strategy of expanding its portfolio with targeted technologies that complement its core focus on high-end software for labels and packaging.

“Our strategy has always been to build from our core competency of graphical software for labels and packaging,” said Mike Rottenborn, CEO of Hybrid Software. “With Conics, we strengthen our position in project management and consultancy, an area increasingly requested by both printers and brands. Their expertise in AI, combined with our existing software, will allow us to jointly create innovative solutions that will make a significant impact on the industry.”

Conics founders Dries Maerten and Frederic Vandelanotte emphasized the benefits of joining Hybrid Software while maintaining independence. “We are excited to become part of the Hybrid Software family,” said Vandelanotte. “We will continue to operate as a separate business unit from our offices in Ypres and remain committed to integrating solutions from multiple vendors to meet our customers’ needs,” added Maerten. Both stressed that the partnership will build on their long-standing experience integrating Hybrid’s CLOUDFLOW workflow and expand opportunities for AI-driven packaging software innovation.
