Hybrid Software Showcases Real-World AI Impact and Acquires Conics at Labelexpo Europe

Hybrid Software wrapped up a successful Labelexpo Europe in Barcelona with the unveiling of three AI-driven solutions poised to reshape label and packaging production. From optimizing press performance to automating prepress workflows, Hybrid’s new tools signal a shift from AI hype to AI ROI. The company also announced the acquisition of Conics, further bolstering its AI development capabilities.

Among the standout innovations was Matches, an AI-powered search tool that identifies similarities across historical jobs—text, barcodes, images—to support faster, more accurate setups. SmartDFE™, already integrated in digital presses from Mark Andy and others, uses predictive AI to boost throughput by adapting job content to press performance. Meanwhile, jAImes, from the newly acquired Conics, reads natural language orders and integrates directly with MIS systems like CERM to streamline job creation. “Our Labelexpo showing puts Hybrid Software in the forefront of AI offerings with a real return on investment for our customers,” said Chairman Guido Van der Schueren.
