interpack 2026 will return to Düsseldorf from 7 to 13 May, gathering approximately 2,800 exhibitors from 67 countries and thousands of industry professionals from across the global processing and packaging value chain. The event will highlight key developments in areas such as artificial intelligence, automation, innovative materials, and workforce transformation, providing a platform for companies to exchange ideas, present new technologies, and evaluate investment opportunities. According to interpack Director Thomas Dohse, the event is particularly important in the current challenging market environment, offering a place for industry dialogue and practical solutions to emerging challenges.
The exhibition will focus on three main themes: Smart Manufacturing, covering AI-driven, data-based production and robotics; Innovative Materials, addressing sustainable packaging and design-for-recycling concepts; and Future Skills, exploring workforce development in increasingly digitalized and automated production environments. The trade fair will also feature special formats such as the Spotlight Forum, Start-up Zone, SAVE FOOD initiatives, and the WorldStar Global Packaging Awards, alongside national pavilions and industry showcases across multiple sectors including food, beverages, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and industrial goods. With accompanying digital tools, matchmaking platforms, and live coverage through interpack TV, the event aims to support networking, knowledge exchange, and innovation across the global packaging industry.
