IVE Group will open the doors of its state-of-the-art Braeside printing plant this month for a special LIA Victoria technical event in partnership with Koenig & Bauer. The showcase will feature live demonstrations of IVE’s newly installed Koenig & Bauer Rapida 106X presses—a 10-colour commercial press with in-line coater and a 7-colour packaging press with dual coating units—highlighting how advanced automation and innovation are reshaping modern print production. The event will include presentations from Koenig & Bauer product specialists and leadership from all three organizations.
Key attendees include IVE Group CEO Matt Aitken and Head of Operations (Print VIC/CX & Data) Shaun Hodge, alongside Koenig & Bauer Australia CEO Graham Harris and Sales Manager Rayne Simpson. Joining from Germany will be Markus Weiss, CEO of Paper and Packaging, and Dirk Winkler, Head of Printing Technology and Product Management, who will present and moderate the session. Representing LIA Victoria will be President Robyn Frampton, Vice President Jaz Allen, and committee members, underscoring the association’s commitment to advancing technical knowledge within the Australian print community.
“We are truly honored to have earned the trust of IVE Group in choosing to invest in the latest Koenig & Bauer technology,” said Markus Weiss. “Our full commitment is to ensure the success of these new installations and to build a long-term partnership between our teams.” IVE Group Managing Director Matt Aitken added, “Great print needs great technology – which is why we invested in Koenig & Bauer, to consistently deliver world-class quality for our customers.”
The event will take place on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 26 Beyer Road, Braeside, with doors opening at 6:00 p.m. and presentations starting at 6:30 p.m. Drinks and light refreshments will be served. Tickets are free for LIA members and $25 for non-members, with limited availability expected to sell out quickly. LIA Victoria President Robyn Frampton noted, “This event offers members and guests a rare opportunity to see the world’s fastest, most advanced lithographic presses live in action and to learn directly from the experts driving print innovation forward.”
