Kodak Expands U.S. Production of SONORA Process Free Plates Amid Surging Demand

Kodak has responded to increasing demand for its KODAK SONORA Process Free Plates in the United States by expanding production at its Columbus, Georgia facility. A second production line has been added, boosting local manufacturing capacity and ensuring a reliable supply of process-free plates across North, Central, and South America. The plant also produces TRILLIAN SP Thermal Plates, supporting printers seeking consistent quality, quick delivery, and sustainable solutions.

Jim Continenza, Kodak’s Executive Chairman and CEO, emphasized that this expansion reflects Kodak’s agility and customer focus. With American printers facing tighter deadlines, cost challenges, and heightened environmental expectations, Kodak’s investment ensures better service and product availability while reinforcing the company’s commitment to U.S. manufacturing and job creation.
