Komori-Chambon Group announced the expansion of its Orléans facility in France, significantly increasing the company’s manufacturing and testing capacity for advanced packaging machinery. The site, which already hosts the group’s headquarters, KCube innovation center, and competence center, now spans 12,000 square meters following the addition of new assembly and testing areas for the latest generation of printing machines.
The expansion effectively doubles the size of the Orléans site and complements Komori-Chambon’s existing manufacturing operations in La Voulte-sur-Rhône. Together, the two locations enable the group to better serve its international customer base and respond more flexibly to increasing demand for high-performance packaging production systems. According to the company, the investment is part of a long-term industrial growth strategy focused on capacity, reliability, and customer proximity.
The Orléans expansion follows a period of strategic acquisitions that have broadened Komori-Chambon’s technological portfolio and global reach. In 2024, the group acquired U.S.-based rotary die tool manufacturer Bernal LLC, followed in 2025 by the acquisition of Canadian flexographic specialist CPS Canadian Primoflex Systems, now operating as Komori Primoflex Systems. These moves position Komori-Chambon as an end-to-end solution provider for paperboard converting, integrating printing, die-cutting, tooling, and delivery technologies. CEO Laurent Bince said the expansion underlines the company’s commitment to delivering precision, reliability, and customer-focused innovation as it continues to grow internationally.
