Kyocera Nixka Inkjet Systems has confirmed the global availability of the Belharra inkjet photo printer, extending its reach beyond Europe after a successful beta installation and commercial launch. Designed for professional and high-volume photo production environments, Belharra brings an industrial inkjet alternative to a market long dominated by silver halide processes, combining productivity, image consistency, and lower environmental impact..
Developed through extensive collaboration with photo printers, finishing partners, and paper suppliers, Belharra reflects real-world production requirements. Kyocera Nixka integrated operational feedback directly into the system’s design to ensure reliability, flexibility, and ease of integration into existing workflows. The company reports that the first European installation has demonstrated stable performance under true industrial conditions, with additional installations planned across North America and Asia-Pacific from early 2026.
Sustainability is a central pillar of the Belharra platform. The printer uses water-based inks, reduces energy consumption and footprint, and minimizes waste compared to legacy photo processes. A life-cycle assessment comparing Belharra prints with traditional silver halide production indicates an average reduction of around 60 percent in environmental impact while maintaining high image quality and competitive operating costs. Kyocera Nixka says the global launch reinforces its mission to provide photo printers with a more flexible, profitable, and environmentally responsible production model.
