Labelexpo Rebrands as LOUPE to Reflect Package Printing Industry Evolution

Labelexpo Global Series, the world’s leading platform for the label and package printing industry for more than four decades, unveiled a brand transformation that will take effect in 2026. The shows will move forward under the new identity of LOUPE, with the first event debuting as LOUPE Americas 2026. The announcement was made in Barcelona at Labelexpo Europe 2025, signaling a new era that aligns the brand more closely with the industry’s evolution toward automation, sustainability, and technology convergence.

The decision reflects sweeping changes in the market. Label converters are increasingly expanding into flexible packaging and folding cartons, while consolidation is creating larger “one-stop” operations across the packaging value chain. By adopting the LOUPE name—an acronym for “Labels & OUter Packaging Embellishment”—the event portfolio acknowledges this broader scope while continuing to serve its core label-focused audience. Inspired by the precision of the loupe magnifier used in print shops worldwide, the new identity highlights attention to detail, craftsmanship, and clarity.

Informa, the global B2B events leader that acquired Labelexpo Global Series in 2023, supported the rebrand through extensive consultation with industry partners. “Over the decades, Labelexpo has grown to reflect the diversification of the label industry into flexible packaging and cartons,” said Andy Thomas-Emans, Strategic Director. “LOUPE mirrors that same spirit by uniting the full spectrum of package printing in one place.” Jade Grace, Managing Director, added: “From 2026, our events will carry the LOUPE brand while Labels & Labeling remains our editorial platform. This evolution ensures we continue to inspire and connect the industry across every packaging format.”
