Lotus Labels Boosts Sustainability with Xeikon CX300 Upgrade for Eco-Friendly Packaging

UK-based Lotus Labels enhanced its digital label production capabilities with the installation of a new Xeikon CX300 dry toner press, reinforcing its commitment to environmentally responsible manufacturing. The upgrade replaces an earlier Xeikon model that had been in operation for over a decade, offering improved productivity, reduced energy consumption, and expanded substrate flexibility. Known for its eco-conscious approach, Lotus Labels selected the CX300 for its ability to meet customer demands for food-safe, recyclable, and compostable label and packaging applications.

The Xeikon CX300, part of the company’s Cheetah 2.0 technology platform, is engineered for high-quality, high-speed label printing using Xeikon’s FDA-compliant dry toner. This makes it suitable for direct food contact and supports the use of environmentally certified substrates. The press also features enhanced automation and real-time monitoring, giving Lotus Labels greater control over waste reduction, color consistency, and uptime—key factors in the company’s drive to deliver sustainable packaging without compromising performance.

“We’ve always believed in offering our customers high-quality solutions with a low environmental impact,” said Chris Smith, Managing Director at Lotus Labels. “With the CX300, we’re not only improving our operational efficiency but also taking another step forward in our mission to provide eco-friendly labels and packaging.” The move aligns with the growing demand from brands across industries to reduce their environmental footprint while maintaining speed, quality, and regulatory compliance.
