Massilly North America is doubling down on performance and precision with its latest investment in Koenig & Bauer’s MetalCoat 470 coating line. The installation at its 250,000 sq. ft. Brantford facility further cements Massilly’s status as the largest user of Koenig & Bauer MetalPrint equipment in Canada. Designed to handle the rigorous demands of high-speed, large-format, and spot-coated metal sheet production, the new line incorporates a HighEcon drying oven that slashes gas consumption by up to 70% and supports ultra-thin substrates.
The move follows Massilly’s successful implementation of the MetalStar 3 press and another MetalCoat 470 unit, both of which delivered a significant boost in throughput and quality. “We expect to see a high double-digit increase—at least 20 percent—in efficiency and throughput,” says Garnet Lasby, president of Massilly North America. “It’s a huge win for us.” With a strategic focus on increased capacity, reduced coating waste, and operational agility, Massilly is positioning itself for sustained growth across North and South American markets.
