Gaithersburg, Maryland-based MCS, Inc., a leader in industrial inkjet and mailing solutions, has announced the launch of its new Harrier process color inkjet family, incorporating HP’s newest 108mm thermal inkjet printhead and Smart Servicing technology. The Harrier represents a significant leap forward for high-speed, full-color inkjet printing in industrial and graphic arts applications, offering a combination of performance, flexibility, and cost efficiency that aligns with MCS’s long-standing focus on practical, production-ready innovation.
Available in 4¼", 8½", and 12¾" printhead configurations, the MCS Harrier supports true 1200 DPI CMYK printing at speeds up to 600 feet per minute. Featuring HP’s micro-recirculation technology, the system delivers exceptional print reliability and reduced maintenance, while accommodating ink supplies from 775ml cartridges up to 10-liter tanks for extended operation. The new Harrier family integrates fully with MCS’s Raptor software platform, allowing users to drive Harrier systems alongside Falcon, Osprey, and Eagle print engines from a single Raptor PC, managing up to 51 inches of process color across mailing tables, inserters, and flexographic or web presses.
“The MCS Harrier with HP Micro-Recirculation Technology is the perfect solution for process color imaging, meeting nearly all of the key requirements for industrial printing, high quality, large print width, low cost, and easy servicing,” said David Loos, President of MCS. “In my 30 years in the industrial imaging industry, I have never seen a technology with so much value.” The Harrier will have a limited release in Q4 2025 and will be available for full commercial use in Q1 2026. Live demonstrations are scheduled at PRINTING United Expo 2025 in Orlando, Florida, where attendees can experience the system in action at the MCS booth (#3294) and the Add-Jet booth (#4690).
With the Harrier, MCS continues its mission to provide innovative, scalable, and affordable inkjet solutions for industrial and mailing environments—extending its legacy as a trusted partner for high-performance, on-demand printing.
