Mumbai is preparing to welcome the world’s largest gathering dedicated to films and flexible packaging as ElitePlus++ Business Services hosts the 12th Speciality Films & Flexible Packaging Global Summit & Expo – 2025 on 3–4 September at the Reliance Jio World Convention Centre. Supported by the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals (DCPC), the flagship event is expected to bring together over 2,200 delegates from more than 23 countries, including senior leaders from packaging, recycling, converting, raw materials, brand ownership, machinery, AI, automation, and sustainability sectors. As of mid-August, 1,800 delegates representing 590 organisations had already confirmed, with 125 exhibitors set to showcase new technologies.

The summit agenda highlights global leadership perspectives with keynote addresses from Godrej Industries, Alliance to End Plastic Waste, Reliance Consumer Products, Amul, Marico, and the DCPC. International voices from PepsiCo, Nestlé, and McKinsey will add strategic insights, while Siddhartha Sanyal, chief economist of Bandhan Bank, will explore the impact of trade shifts and policy on plastics and packaging. A strong focus on sustainability will address outcomes from the UN plastics treaty negotiations in Geneva, post-consumer recycled content, advanced recycling, and regulatory alignment.

With over 85 presentations, attendees will explore hybrid packaging solutions, recyclable mono-materials, coatings and adhesives, as well as digital packaging powered by AI and smart design. Panels will debate sustainability business models, circular economy strategies, and synergies between flexible and rigid formats. Networking opportunities, including a gala dinner, cocktail reception, and B2B matchmaking, will enhance the experience. The event will also act as a curtain-raiser to K 2025 in Düsseldorf, offering an early look at technologies set to reshape the global packaging industry.
