Newspaper Club Launches the Midi: A Magazine-Style Newspaper Format

The UK' Newspaper Club unveiled the midi, a new magazine-style newspaper format designed for creators, designers, and brands looking for something between the mini and tabloid sizes. Developed through extensive feedback and testing, the midi strikes the perfect balance: substantial enough to feel premium, yet compact and easy to handle. Measuring to fit neatly in a standard C4 envelope without folding, it’s ideal for direct mail, events, and creative showcases.

Printed on real newsprint using high-speed digital presses, the midi delivers sharp details and vibrant colors at a fraction of the time and cost of traditional magazine printing. Its full-bleed, stapled finish provides the tactile feel of a magazine while maintaining the authentic texture of newsprint. Customers can choose between two paper types – the classic 55gsm improved newsprint or a 100% recycled 80gsm bright option for a more premium finish.

The midi is suitable for a wide range of projects, including catalogues, lookbooks, event programs, and design portfolios, with no minimum order required – print one copy or up to 1,000. Free sample packs are available featuring interviews with creative professionals, including Cubitts’ in-house designer and Papier’s head of brand. With the midi now available, Newspaper Club invites creatives to explore how this new format can bring their work to life. Sample packs and full details are available at Newspaper Club’s website.
