I am apparently in the mood for bashing stupid marketing and bad print today, so let's get into the next one! Have you tried giving your spouse a gift? It could be an everyday gift like flowers, a good dinner celebrating an anniversary, or maybe even a Christmas gift?
Imagine that you give her a discount coupon for a Christmas gift so that she can buy her lingerie or the sweater she always wanted with a 30% discount!
Or imagine your 10-year-old kid getting a 33% discount coupon for LEGO for Christmas? It will be cheap for you, and if you give 100 discount coupons, you will have spammed your entire family with a worthless piece of shit, which is precisely what pissed me off NOW.
I just got a SPAM mail from a company I never signed up for, and now they freaking offer me an early gift in the form of a 30% discount coupon.
- First of all, it's not a gift.
- Secondly, I never asked for this marketing communication.
- Thirdly, it's SPAM, so I hate it even more.
But it has inspired me. Tonight I will find all the good offers in the local newspaper, cut them out, put the discounts in nice envelopes, and use these as gifts for my entire family. Apparently, stupid dumb marketing people don't know the difference between gifts and marketing.
Dear Team Socialpilot - you are NOW officially on my HATE/ANTI SPAM list, and I will NEVER buy ANYTHING from you!
TIP:
Don't accept SPAM and expose stupidity. We are so over-exposed to marketing that I can't believe it. Do you want these sales/marketing/spam messages to get to your children? I won't, but even after GDPR, the consequences for SPAMMERS are so tiny that I probably get more SPAM than before! I am not a product, and my kids are not products - so please treat my family and me with respect!
