OMNI Systems Scales from Barcodes to Prime Labels with Domino Digital Inkjet Investment

OMNI Systems significantly advanced its digital printing capabilities through a long-term partnership with Domino, leveraging K600i digital UV inkjet technology to scale production and expand into new label applications. With multiple installations across its Cleveland and St. Louis facilities, the company has strengthened its ability to produce high-quality variable-data labels at an industrial scale and to enter the growing prime label segment.

Operating three K600i systems in Cleveland and an additional unit in St. Louis, OMNI Systems is now producing between 6.5 and 8 million labels every 24 hours, supported by continuous 24/5 production schedules. The technology’s ability to deliver high-speed, high-resolution output, up to 150 meters per minute in dual-bar configurations, has enabled the company to meet increasing demand for barcoded and sequential labeling in logistics while also supporting more complex consumer-facing applications.

The investment reflects a broader shift toward data-driven labeling, as supply chains demand greater traceability and brands adopt technologies such as QR codes and GS1 standards. By integrating digital inkjet into its production, OMNI Systems can deliver scalable, cost-effective solutions that are fast, precise, and flexible, helping it stay competitive in a rapidly evolving labeling market.
