Print Across America is nothing less than a great idea and an opportunity for the US/Canadian printing industry to participate in an industry-wide event bringing customers, family, potential employees, and a renewed focus on everything we do as an industry into an Open House format. Print Across America is a project developed by the Intergalactic Ambassador to the Printerverse, Deborah Corn, and was presented to those interested in a Zoom webinar format Wednesday, August 9th.

Though the idea is simple, the scope is excellent, as the idea is to encourage as many PSPs, In-plants, Packaging companies, etc., to plan local Open Houses. Printing Companies probably do Open Houses occasionally, but making this into a super-event like Print Across America will create even greater interest from the people we as an industry need to address. It's free for PSPs to participate, and with registration, participants can download graphics/designs to support a unified branding of events, but during the webinar, more participants suggested different ideas, from press releases to common topics and many more ideas.

Deborah Corn has, as usual, reached out to her vast network and asked for support to make this possible, and with support from schools, PSPs, federations, and many more, the idea is to use October 25th as an Open House day for all participating companies - with more already signed up for the event.

The potential, as I see it, is not only to attract new print customers but potentially also new employees - and as an extra bonus, invite friends, family, and neighbors to make this an event to remember :-)

October 25th is also International Print Day, and Deborah Corn has arranged an International Print Day Conference that runs from 10 AM Eastern to 8 PM Eastern - a marathon conference - with presentations, debates, and a yet un-revealed program (as far as I could see) but promising great fun and loads of learning!
