Quality Printing, Inc., a family-run print shop in Luverne, Minnesota, has expanded into label production with the installation of a Konica Minolta AccurioLabel 230. Owned by Mark and Annie Opitz since 1999, the company has steadily grown by diversifying from offset into large-format printing, and now sees labels as the next strategic growth engine. The decision was driven in part by a local pork processing plant’s need for a nearby, reliable label supplier—requiring durable labels that can withstand production and freezer conditions.
“We explored several digital label press options, but Konica Minolta and their AccurioLabel 230 quickly stood out,” said Mark Opitz. With its ability to run self-adhesive papers, synthetics, and films at speeds up to 76 feet per minute, the press delivers both flexibility and high-quality output. Annie Opitz added, “Since installing the AccurioLabel 230, we’ve seen growing interest from new and existing clients… The versatility of the press has opened up new opportunities, and we’re excited to scale production.” Konica Minolta’s Frank Mallozzi emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting Quality Printing’s digital journey and future growth.
