REPORTING FROM KABUL - Part 2

August 30, 2021
The cloudy and rainy sky is beautiful, and you must not lose this moment, it is raining in Kabul, wow! Blessing of God is coming from the sky, but with them, one thing is coming to - rockets from the terrorists.

So I started my morning with rain and rocket fires; how sad is it to hope for a lovely day, but the rockets ruined it in a second! We continue breathing and looking for hope and seeking our dreams; maybe there is a secret in our life that we cannot realize; I am thankful that God gives me a new chance to overcome my problems; I am grateful because God gives me today. After all, I had heard this; "today is a gift, yesterday is history, and future is a mystery."

I always seek the press of my country. I am a workaholic. At my job, I serve the people's rights. Today I am going to tell you about the situation of the media, especially in Kabul. Before the Taliban takeover, the press in Afghanistan was very useful, and they worked without any panic or too much stress. Working as a journalist was both my hobby and passion.

Female journalists appeared on TV where they freely could read and criticize, ask questions to people in the government.

Now, I can say the dark day of Kabul came. We cannot say a word about the government, and female journalists are not allowed on TV. Some of them escaped, some of them are murdered, and many of them live in fear.

In total, Journalists are in danger, as I mentioned. Now my hobby is writing my life story, cleaning my room, seeking TV, waiting for someone to get me abroad, Oh!

Living here with cruel people is so hard; it is painful if you're watching your compatriots dying and cannot do anything for them.

Now, here in Afghanistan, the media is getting weaker day after day. The Taliban surrounds all media and decides what to broadcast. In Kabul, TOLO TV was very famous with about 1 million viewers. They broadcast numerous NEWS, dramas, creativity programs, entertainment programs but now they broadcast just NEWS and a drama named Usman, which comply with Islam. The media in Afghanistan have only the right to broadcast NEWS and Islamic subjects.

Today's writing will end with our education system in the Taliban time. In Afghanistan, the education system has been changed by the Taliban. The academic system has been changed, the two gender studies separately, boys coming in the morning and girls in the afternoon, boys must be having beard and girls must be dressed in Hijab.

As announced today, all teachers and students can come to university, and both men women have the right to education, and women must wear Hijab, and they guarantee not to harm them.
