Significans Automation Takes Center Stage at PRINTING United’s New AI Pavilion

Artificial intelligence will take the spotlight at this year’s PRINTING United Expo in Orlando, where the newly introduced AI Pavilion (booth 4255) will serve as a central hub for exploring the transformative power of AI across the printing and packaging industries. Organized by PRINTING United Alliance, the Pavilion will feature pioneering exhibitors, live demonstrations, and expert panel discussions highlighting how AI is driving innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage throughout the print ecosystem.

Among the Pavilion’s key participants is Significans Automation, a Platinum sponsor and Tier 1 global integrator for Enfocus software, which will demonstrate how AI is revolutionizing print automation. “We’re delighted to be chosen as one of the pioneering exhibitors and to take part in expert panel discussions about the enormous untapped benefits of AI technology in print,” said Marc Raad, President of Significans Automation.

Significans’ approach centers on building customized automation frameworks powered by AI to optimize production efficiency and reduce manual intervention. “At Significans, we are driven by the conviction that customized automation in an AI era is the only path forward to future-proof a printing business,” Raad explained. “AI can accelerate innovation, improve decision-making, and deliver efficiencies once thought impossible, but it requires thoughtful integration and a deep understanding of each client’s workflows.”

A standout example of this innovation can be seen in Significans’ collaboration with Work House Signs of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, where a custom AI-enabled workflow reduced four months (3,024 hours) of job processing to just six hours. Powered by the AI app Fuzzy Matcher, the system streamlined job management and freed up labor for business growth. “The new customized software freed up labor to focus on growth,” said Rob Cole, President and Owner of Work House Signs. “This, I believe, will eventually allow us to boost our sales tenfold.”

At the AI Pavilion, Significans will demonstrate a range of AI-driven capabilities including:

  • Narrow AI, used to automate defined workflow tasks such as prepress checks, layout optimization, and smart ganging.
  • General AI, which simulates human decision-making processes in workflow management, automatically correcting and optimizing print files before production.
  • Superintelligent AI, designed for future applications that process massive data sets at speeds beyond human capability, accelerating turnaround times and improving overall productivity.

Significans also employs Aggregate AI (patterning), leveraging advanced logic and pattern recognition to analyze large datasets, convert legacy data, and make informed operational decisions.

“In the coming years, AI will be one of the print automation advancements that can change the industry globally,” said Raad. “Printers should explore the enormous benefits of these platforms now. While AI can handle roughly 70% of a printer’s files today, about 80% of North American printers haven’t even started using the technology.”

Visitors can find Significans Automation at the AI Pavilion, booth 4255, or visit Enfocus (booth 2004) for demonstrations of integrated automation solutions. Live discussions and educational sessions throughout the Expo will further illustrate how AI is reshaping workflow management, operational performance, and profitability for the modern print industry.
