GREAT & SIMPLE

Challenging times · Simple Solution

In times with Coronavirus's, it seems that most people, or at least the media, are concerned over travel- and event cancellations. However, after seeing a post by CEO Esben Mols Kabell from onlineprinters (part of onlineprinters) on LinkedIn, the Coronavirus, of course, also impact productions and how companies should address "uptime."

In Lasertryk.dk's production they have come up with a straightforward yet compelling solution.

Before talking about the solution, let's talk for a minute about why this is important. From a business owner perspective, you have to address your employees health. Still, you also have to ensure that production can continue in case your staff is exposed to the Coronavirus.

If a worker is exposed or infected to the Coronavirus, all people in the nearby must be quarantined. Therefore the challenge is obviously, to ensure that as few as possible can be exposed at all.

Lasertryk.dk has introduced a straightforward solution.

The production is divided into various sections. In each of these sections, a number of employees work, and they are not allowed to cross from one section to the next one. When a process is handed over, i.e., printed sheets to binding, the worker delivers the pallet on the "border" and let workers from the other section take over. The workers in each section wear different coloured t-shirts to be sure who is on what team.

I love this easy to use, and easy to implement solution. The solution ensures safety for the employees and enables lasertryk.dk to continue production as close to unaffected as possible.

CEO Esben Mols Kabell even say this solution was very inexpensive to implement, so in challenging times, sometimes the answers are easy!
